“Moonlight Over Scofield Pass”

Friday – obtain campsite along Slate River NW of Crested Butte off 734 Road. There are RV sites on BLM land near Oh-Be-Joyful (first come) and dispersed tent camping farther upstream on Forest Service land. Saturday – meet at CO 135 & 738 Road by 9:00 AM. Drive Pearl Pass to Ashcroft. Air up and drive to Aspen, then Carbondale, then CO 133 to Marble for dinner at the Slow Groovin’ BBQ. At moonrise, drive over Scofield Pass to 519 Road over Paradise Divide back to campsite via 734 Road. Sunday – sleep in, then do optional activities before return to Montrose.
