High elevation travel alert has been posted for San Juan, San Miguel and Ouray counties due to early snow. Some higher trail passes have recieved up to a foot of snow. Passes reporting snow include Ophir, Imogene, Engineer, Hurricane and Black Bear. Several of the last weekend Jeepers Jamboree trail runs ran into new snow at the higher elevations.
