The WESTERN SLOPE 4 WHEELERS CLUB<\/span>\u2026is a group of family oriented off-road enthusiasts who enjoy four-wheeling and who work to protect four-wheeling rights on our public lands.  The club was founded in February 1998.  Club adventures range from mild to extreme.  Runs include day trips on trails in the Montrose area, the San Juan Mountains, and elsewhere.  Other club gatherings include bowling, participation in parades, weekend trips outside the Montrose region, and week-long cross-country trips.  Weekend and week-long trips often include camping.  <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Club meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm.\u00a0 For the 2026 year the Club is meeting at the Lion’s Clubhouse on 602 North Nevada, Montrose, CO<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The club currently has 19 adopted trails in the San Juan Mountains and in the Montrose area. These trails receive regular maintenance by club members.  This is one of the many ways the club provides support for keeping trails open.  Please check out the rest of our website for more information about the club.

Colorado residents and visitors are well served by dedicated volunteer search and rescue teams. By purchasing a Colorado Outdoor Recreation Search and Rescue<\/span> (CORSAR)<\/span> card you are contributing to the Search and Rescue Fund, which will reimburse these teams for costs incurred in search and rescues across the State of Colorado. The CORSAR card is available for $3 for a one-year card and $12 for five-year card.
