Lester and Ruth will be exploring in the Price UT area. On the 17th meet at the Holiday Inn in Price at 11:30 – we’ll explore the Reservation Ridge Road and surrounding area. Monday and Tuesday – meet both days at 8:30 at the Holiday Inn. We’ll explore Dry Canyon and Skyline Drive. All trails are rated easy to moderate. Camping is available in the area. Price, Helper and Orangeburg also have interesting museums if you have extra time.
Registration for All for fun, to be held at the Potter Ranch is now open. Registration is 552.00 per jeep for all 5 days.
Meet at A&W at 4:00pm. This will be a full moon run which will take the group to the trail head of some of the hard core trails on the Plateau. Be sure to have a full tank of gas. Plan to air down as Rim Road is rough; ride will end on Highway 90. NOTE: this ride will replace both the Club dinner and the Meet and Greet events for the month of July. contact Eddie and Linnea for additional details.
Williams Pass – this is an adopted club trail which is only open during the month of August. However, Rick A. will coordinate with Marcus T. of CORE to possibly open it July 31st. There will be dead fall to clean up. TIme and meeting place to be determined.
“Plan to meet Marcus Trusty, head of the CORE organization, in the parking at the east junction of Hancock and Williams Passes (near the ghost town of Hancock), in time to head up Williams Pass by 10:00AM, July 31st. Rick Antolovich will be leaving Montrose Saturday, July 30th , to camp out near Hancock Lake in order to be at the east end of Williams Pass before 10:00 AM the following morning. Contact him for details if you want to join him.”

Monthly club meeting 7:00 pm at Lion’s Clubhouse, 602 North Nevada, Montrose
The club meets the first Tuesday of every month unless displaced by a holiday.
Black Bear backwards. -Leaving city market south at 5 am. Sharp. Air down in Telluride at the port a potties before the Pandora mine. Hit trial at 6:15 sharp. 15 vehicles max per permit.
Meet at Gold’s gym at 3:00 PM. Will make the loop over the plateau and come back the Lake City cutoff. Dinner will be at the Arrowhead Lodge. Have a full tank of gas, water and snacks just in case. This is a county road the whole drive. This run will be the club dinner and meet and greet run.
Meet at the parking area by the restrooms on Hillcrest at 9:00 am for street clean up.
Bristol Head Peak is planned for August 16th. Plan to meet at the Quality Inn in South Fork at 8:30am with lunch, snacks, water and a full tank of gas. This road is about 15 miles long (one way) and is rated as easy. It does gain over 2500 feet in elevation and the top offers a magnificent panoramic view of the entire area. We have done this trail before several years ago. If time allows, we can explore the side trip to Crystal Lake.
