WS4W Club Calendar
Matt and Lisa G. will lead Roubideau Jeep Road Work Day
September 25th, departing downtown City Market at 8:30am. Bring gloves and lopping shears if possible. A bow saw might be useful. If we’re lucky the loggers and ranchers will have cleared most trail obstructions and we’ll only have to trim encroaching brush. If we have a large group and people who know the trail, we might split into two groups and work in from each entrance.
Have a full tank of gas, bring lunch, water and snacks. Trail is probably rated a “3”.
Monthly club meeting 7:00 pm at Lion’s Clubhouse, 602 North Nevada, Montrose
The club meets the first Tuesday of every month unless displaced by a holiday.
Eddie and Linnea will lead an exploration of the Leroux Creek area. Plan to leave Downtown (Old) City Market at 9am. Have a full tank of gas. Bring chairs, water, snacks, and, maybe, a coat. Leaders will provide hot dogs and brats so also bring chips or something else to share. If hot dogs / brats aren’t your lunch of choice, feel free to also bring your own lunch. Trail is rated a 1 or 2.
Contact Linnea if you need to meet the group elsewhere along the proposed route out of Delta.
Eddie and Linnea will lead a short afternoon run in the Storm King Mountain area. Have a full tank of gas; bring water and snacks. As this is an afternoon run, no need to bring lunch. Plan supper with the group at Culver’s in Montrose on our return. Trail is rated a 1 or 2.
This trip has been cancelled due to snowfall in the San Juans. Watch this website for possible rescheduling information.
Rick A. will lead a trip to close the gates on Poughkeepsie Gulch for the season. Plan to meet at South City Market at 8:30am. Have a full tank of gas, lunch, water and snacks. THe 15th was chosen as the date to do this as rifle hunting season begins on the 16th.

November club meeting has been rescheduled to November 30th at 7:00pm. Please note the location change – this meeting will be in the conference room #2 at the Montrose Event Center.
The theme this year is Home for the Holidays. The parade will be Dec. 4th. WS4W will line up by the Event Center between 3:00pm and 3:30pm. Please enter off the By-Pass to line up. We will be able to finish decorating there and help is available if needed. Restrooms should be open. Parade will start at 5:30pm.
After the parade, instead of going to a restaurant Linnea P. will host an after parade gathering at her house. She plans to do a taco bar.
