Monthly club meeting 6:00 pm at Lion’s Clubhouse, 602 North Nevada, Montrose
The club meets the first Tuesday of every month unless displaced by a holiday.
I zoomed into the meeting tonight and wanted to pass along some info for anyone interested. However, while trying to listen and pass along info, I was trying to park a camper and all other sorts of thing and didn’t get to. So I am sorry abd sorry that I am relying on you again to pass info along.
So I was planning to run Black Bear Pass on Saturday to telluride, have lunch there and then hit Imogene pass back to Ouray on Saturday July 11th. Was looking to do this with some guys I met out in Moab over Father’s Day weekend. We have it planned and they are coming. We do know that as of now Black Bear is closed and unless they open it before Saturday we won’t be able to run it and will modify the route……if the modification has to happen it will be Do Imogene from Ouray to Telluride, have lunch then hit Ophir Pass back to 550 to Ouray. It does look as of now Jess will be joining us. I would like to extend the invite to anyone from the club that would like to join us.
All this being said we are looking to depart City Market South at 8 am July 11th, quick stop in Ridgeway to add one of the guys I met in Moab, due to him and his wife staying there for the weekend, then off to the trail head, which ever that will be with the closer or opening of black bear. Hopefully this all makes sense.
If anyone might be interest to do a ride on Friday July 10th…..a couple of us are looking to leave Ridgway at 9 am. Head to Poughkeepsie Gulch, stop at Lake Como, go to engineers pass…..from there it’s up in the air. Either drop down to Lake City, walk around and come back the pavement to Montrose, or drop to Silverton, walk around and then come back to Ouray to Montrose.
The two guys I met in Moab, one is staying in Ridgeway with his wife and the other here in Montrose at the Riverbend Rv resort.
Let is know if you want to join. Thank you all.
Thank you Georgette for your help with this.
