Monthly club meeting 7:00 pm at Lion’s Clubhouse, 602 North Nevada, Montrose
The club meets the first Tuesday of every month unless displaced by a holiday.
Behind the Flex Park at the Colorado outdoors. 1309 Mayfly dr. This is an opportunity to increase awareness of recreating responsibly.
Meet at the trail head 9:00 am. We will hike the canyon. Approximately 2 miles round trip.
Rubicon Redux Itinerary – September 7-10, 2025:
1. Sunday September 7 th : Meet at Loon Lake Campground at 10:00AM, and
drive to Rubicon Trailhead, continuing to Ellis Creek and campout.
2. Monday September 8 th : Jeep to Buck Island and campout.
3. Tuesday September 9 th : Jeep to Rubicon Springs and campout.
4. Wednesday September 10 th : Jeep Cadillac Hill and head home.
Notes:
1. I will be leaving Grass Valley CA at 7:30AM, Sunday September 7 th , and
driving to Loon Lake Campground. You may want to campout at Loon Lake
on Saturday September 6 th .
2. Be sure to fill up gas tank before getting to Loon Lake.

We know it is short notice but we are going looking for some fall color Friday, the 19th. Plan to leave Delta City Market at 9am with lunch, snacks, water and a full tank of gas. Plan to do Keebler and Ohio passes.

Lester and I will entertaining guests from LA on the Sept 20th. We plan to leave South City Market at 8:30am; meet our friends in Ouray about 9:15am and then explore the Red Mountain Mining District (north and south sections). This trail is rated as easy and we plan to travel it leisurely, with stops at all the mines and for views and pictures. After the trail ride, we will continue into Silverton for lunch at a restaurant yet to be determined. After lunch we will take them out to Animas Forks; then return to Silverton and on to Ouray to retrieve their vehicle.
If interested in joining us for any or all of this adventure, please plan to meet at South City Market at 8:30 with a full tank of gas, snacks and water.
