Wednesday, August 6th, Lester and Ruth will lead a run up Corkscrew Pass, over Hurricane and California Passes and drop down into Animas Forks Ghost Town. Probably have lunch there.
Return trip is yet to be determined – could turn around and do it in reverse; could just go on into Silverton and then home on pavement; could go north to Engineer and then turn left back to 550; could go on to Cinnamon Pass and then to Silverton. Will depend on weather, timing and what the group decides.
In any event, meet at Ironton Park (off of 550 south of Ouray) at 9:30am with a full tank of gas, lunch, water, snacks, etc. Trails are all rated easy, maybe some moderate sections.
