The club meets the first Tuesday of every month unless displaced by a holiday.
Morrison Jeep trail, Cody, Wy. Meet in Cody. Run Morrison jeep trail on the 11th. Trail is rate a 6+ Ruth will have other trails that will be determined as time gets closer and will be run on the 10th and 12th. Come home on the 13th
This trail starts north of Cody WY and goes into the northern Absaroka Range. 35 miles long; last 19 miles requires 4X4 capability. Meet at Ivy Inn, Best Western Motel in Cody WY (1800 8th St); plan to leave at 9am. Bring water, lunch, snacks and have a full tank of gas. Have not previously run this trail but would estimate rating at 4/5.
For those of you interested in the trip to Cody WY in August – we talked with Terry this morning and he is all in for leading the portion of the Morrison Jeep Road which can be driven these days (coming in from the north and driving south as far as the switchbacks).
That trip will be on Friday, August 11th and will leave from the Exxon gas station at the intersection of 16th street and WY highway 120 in Cody at 8:30am. Have all the usuals.
This trail starts South of Cody, WY and heads southwest to the site of Kirwin, a gold-mining ghost town situated at 9,200. feet. Plan to meet at the Ivy Inn, Best Western Motel in Cody WY (1800 8th ST). Leave at 9am; bring lunch, water, snacks and have full tank of gas. Trail is 27.5 miles long and requires 4X4 capability for the last 7.5 miles. Have not previously run this trail but would estimate rating at 4.
Leon Lakes on the Grand Mesa. Meet at 9:30 am in Cedaredge, Pioneer town. Have full tank of gas, water and snacks. Trail is rated a 3-4, Dinner in Cedaredge afterwards.

Lester and Ruth S. expect to drive the Stony Pass Trail this coming Wednesday, August 30. After the Pass, we also expect to continue on as far as Pole Creek for lunch and then return. We do not plan to go up to Buffalo Boy Tram House or out to Kite Lake.
If interested, please meet at South City Market at 9:00am with a full tank of gas, lunch, water and snacks. We will make a stop at the station in Silverton to air down before starting the trail.
The part of Stony Pass and beyond that we are doing is rated as easy / moderate and is about 12 miles in length.
