Ricks “Purple Sage” Moab trip

Leave corner of Solar & 550 @ 9:00 AM on 4-3.
Take Southern route to Moab (Jess Deegan can take I-70), drive over Hurrah Pass & campout.
4-4 continue on Lockhart Rd to Indian Creek & campout.
4-5 get Elephant Hill permit, maybe gas up at Canyonlands Resort, drive The Needles & Grabens to Bobby’s Hole / Beef Basin & campout.
Optional bail out from Needles & return to Montrose.
4-6 drive Salt Creek Mesa to Dugout Ranch & return to Montrose via Monticello (gas up!), Dove Creek & Naturita.

Prerequisites: must have read (Zane Grey) or watched Riders of the Purple Sage (Ed Harris, Amy Madigan).

Note: I will no longer try to compress this trip to 3 days
